Not my artwork, but my son’s. He did this in pre-K with highlighters. It was so impressive I printed it on canvas and framed it.

Here’s a version of Nepal by Peter Tuthill we recorded at the Abandoned Brain (my studio) in the fall of 2005.

Tut at the Cricket after his rough patch (circa 2006). Peter’s a great artist with a big heart.

Warning. This song has an f-bomb.
Originally meant to be a cross between Tommy James bubblegum meets Sartre’s existentialism, it took on a groovy Mempis sound once I laid down some keys. We did this live with me playing banjo.
1 year ago • 0 notesIt’s like the freakin’ mafia. I’ve played my guitar for a total of 1 hour in the past year. But I decided to make a web site with some of my recordings. Sent it to a few friends.
Same response - “Everyone but Us” is a hit if I ever heard one.
I’ve tried to retire from making music many times before. Now Austin next spring. Something tells me I’ll be playing ‘til I’m dead.

Talked with an old girlfriend with the same initlals as me tonight. I told her back then that I wrote this song about her. Honestly it was just the first line “everyone looks like you today.” It’s true. There was one day when every woman I saw was a wicked sexy redheaded vixen.
She hasn’t heard the songs I wrote about her afterwards. That’s becuase I haven’t recorded them.
She told me I’ve got a big heart and that I’m kind and generous and sincere. That was beautiful.
